Our love story
Natalie and Hunter’s story began at Indiana University, where fate had them living just a floor apart in their freshman year dorm. While their friendship grew that first year, it wasn’t until the beginning of sophomore year in 2018 that they officially started dating. Sharing the same major, going to sorority and fraternity date parties, and experiencing campus life side by side made their college years unforgettable.
After graduation, life took them on different paths - Natalie to Barrington, Illinois, and Hunter to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. For three years, they managed a long-distance relationship, making the most of monthly visits and cherishing fun trips and adventures in between.
In March 2024, Natalie and Hunter bought their first home together in Birmingham, Michigan, and soon added an Australian Shepherd puppy, Ringo, to their little family. Just a year later, on June 27, 2025, Hunter proposed on Mackinac Island, a place Natalie had always dreamed of visiting. In the secret gardens outside the Grand Hotel, he got down on one knee, and the celebration continued with a romantic carriage ride to The Woods restaurant. To top off the perfect weekend, Natalie was surprised again the next day when they arrived at Walloon Lake to find both of their families waiting to celebrate. A weekend of their dreams, filled with love, joy, and the start of forever together.
Now, their journey comes full circle as Natalie and Hunter will be getting married in Northern Michigan on Walloon Lake. A place Hunter has cherished for over 20 summers and one that Natalie has come to love deeply over the past seven years.
